C-PAK Cover Tapes

We manufacture embossed carrier tape that meets EIA and the European standards using our own proprietary embossing machines. These machines are designed with the concept of ‘SIMPLE’ that allows minimal changeover time.

Besides the standard parts, we have technology to manufacture non-standard packages to house specialized parts like metal stamping parts and also to make deep-pocketed packages(up to 25mm). A thicker material may have to be used for these deep pockets.

 

 

Our basic material used for our carrier tape is Polystyrene (PS) but we do use other materials like Polycarbonate (PC), Styrenic Alloy (SA) and Amorphous-Polyethylene Terephthalate (APET). The materials used are specially formulated to provide consistent sealing strength and stable surface resistivity.

Precise dimensions are ensured in our process and well-defined pockets are designed for high-speed automated taping and surface mount equipment.

Tape width available : 8mm, 12mm, 16mm, 24mm, 32mm, 44mm, 56mm (up to 200mm)
Tape thickness available : 0.2mm, 0.3mm, 0.35mm, 0.4mm, 0.5mm

C-PAK Cover Tapes
C-Pak offers Total Packaging Solution to our valued customers. With this concept, we also provide antistatic cover tape other than carrier tapes and plastic reels.

C-Pak does not manufacture cover tape but we obtain them from several sources and ensure that the cover tape offered is compatible to our carrier tape materials. The cover tape chosen has gone through a series of compatibility tests that may includes our competitor’s carrier tape materials before it is launched to the market.

We offer two different kinds of sealing cover tape, that are Heat Sealable tape and Pressure-Sensitive Adhesive tape (PSA). The difference is that there is no heat-treatment required for PSA cover tape.

The adhesive system is specially developed to contribute a tight range in the sealing strength. Furthermore, a stable sealing strength through time is also ensured. The Recommended Sealing Parameters (for heat-sealable tape) are listed in individual cover tape material specification.

The basic material in our cover tape is Polyester. A full range of cover tape widths is available for carrier tape width ranging from 8mm to 200mm.

Specific width available for Heat Seal Cover Tape are: 5.3, 9,1, 9.3, 13.1, 13.3, 21.0, 21.3,25.5, 26.5, 37.5, 49.5, 65.5, 97.5, 113.5, 145.5mm.

Specific width available for Pressure Sensitive Adhesive Cover Tape are: 5.3, 9.3, 13.3, 21.3, 26.3, 37.3, 50.0mm.

C-Pak Type CP-2010 AS cover tape is transparent with anti-static on both sides and heat over a wide range of temperatures, thus making it immersely suitable to seal different materials of carrier tapes.

The adhesive system is specially developed for tight range in seal strength, as an addition to its stable seal strength.

Recommended Sealing Tempearature : 150°C to 200°C
Recommended Sealing Shoe Width : 0.020" to 0.035" (0.51mm - 0.89mm)

C-Pak Type CP-5040 PSA pressure-sensitive adhesive cover tape is transparent with anti-static coating on the underside. Its self-adhesion seals for different materials of carrier tape. Heat is not required and temperature control is not necessary.
