Description:
This pressure suit was developed
to meet the requirements of level 4 biomedical research
laboratories (BioSafety Level 4) : unknown, emerging,
collection, highly contagious viruses or viruses without
any existing treatment.
This type of pressure suit has
a sealed closing system, an internal air control and
distribution system, an HEPA filter and a pair of PVC
boots attached to the suit.
The exhaust is thought two patented
magnetic valves.
This suit is made of fabric backed
PVC assembly by high frequency welding designed not
to be detrimental to the properties of the PVC.
It has been evaluated according
the standard concerning clothing providing protection
against radioactive contamination in the form of particles
of the ventilated and pressurized type. It is of the
reusable type.
Uses:
This pressure suit can be used
in any type of laboratory where there is a high risk
of biological or particulate contamination, accordingly
the suit offers:
An excellent protection factor
(>100 000) / Easy to put on and take off / Comfort
(good ventilation, low noise level <70 dB, wide sleeves)
/ Wide field of view /Very good mechanical strength
(abrasion, piercing, tearing...) / Light weight (coverall
weight: 3.6 kg).
To facilitates its use, the pressure
suit also has:
4 fittings for hanging it after
use / 1 loop for the supply pipe / 1 inside pocket to
contain independent voice communications system / Sleeve
cuffs to permit the use of different types of protection
gloves to suit to the type of work being handled.
Supplementary
information:
The pressure suit is certified
for an air supply flow rate included between:
Minimum flow : 470 l/min ± 10 % for a supply
pressure of 5.4 bar.
Maximum fow : 950 l/min ± 10 % for a supply pressure
of 5.4 bar.
Decontaminating the pressure
suit: refer to the user manual.
Before using the coverall, the user must set up all
the devices needed to check that the minimum airflow
required by the manufacturer is reached or exceeded
before and during the use of the equipment.
