 Sterile
applications demand an absolute commitment to the control
of hygiene and cleanliness. The consequences of failing
to meet the required standards can be serious in pharmaceutical
production, food preparation and in public healthcare.
Seating should highlight contamination, be easily cleanable
and restrict particle emissions. Task
sterile seating incorporates robust and cleanable vinyl
covering on both surfaces of the back and seat pads,
polished aluminium base, chrome gaslift and footring
together with an enclosed "box" style mechanism.
The sealed seat is fitted with a HEPA filter to prevent
migration of particles. The vinyl used is a medical
grade, which is water and air impermeable. Certified
in accordance with US Federal Standard 209E-to Class
10+.

 Ideally
a cleanroon would be free from people and equipment. However
this is often not practical. If seating is required it
must perform certain minimum functions for the operator
and ensure a controlled effect in the environment. A tough
construction is essential as damaged chairs introduce
safety hazards to the operators and the working process.
Task cleanroom seating provides the optimum
balance of ergonomic function and cleanroom specification.
incorporating the sound design features from the ESD and
Sterile chair construction, "open-cell" structural
foam pads and the unique "Techstat" ESD vinyl,
these chairs are recognised as the world's best. Approved
and certified in accordance with IEC 61340-5-1 and US
Federal Standard 209E-Class 10. All Task
cleanroom chairs incorporate a HEPA filter as standard. |

Seat
Slider
A seat slider is available as
an option on all Task seating. This allows
the seat to be adjusted up to 70mm further forward of
the seat back and is lockable in any position.

Glides
Glides are provided on all high and intermediate
gaslift chairs unless otherwise requested and are recommended
as a safety feature. (Conductive glides have a yellow
band around the fixing pin. It is necessary to pull
the glide away from the base to identify whether a glide
is standard or conductive.)

 Air
filter
A high efficiency particle (HEPA) filter
is fitted as standard to all Sterile and ESD cleanroom
chairs. Fitted to the underside of the seat the HEPA
filter is protected from damage and will prevent migration
of particles from the seat into the controlled area
in accordance with US Federal Standard 209E-Class 10. |

Castors
Interval braked castors are provided as standard on
all low Task chairs. These incorporate
a safety brake to restrict the free movement of the
chair until the operator is seated. Free wheeling castors
can be provided for use with low-height chairs on carpeted
floors. (nb. Conductive castors are identified by the
yellow strike).
