This bag is made
from conductive polyethylene. It has excellenbt mechanical
property and static shielding capability. As the package
and content are kept at equal potential, the accumulated
charges can be drained away safely without damaging
the content.

Packing
Different types
of packing materials can be used to bag desiccants.
In the semiconductor industry, Tyvek® material
manufactured by Dupont is commonly used as a bag
material for pouching desiccants due to its strength,
durability and breatheability.
Dou Yee can supply desiccants bagged in Tyvek®,
Non-Woven Fabric, Translucent Static Shielding Film,
Clear PP/OPP Film and Kraft paper depending on your
requirements. In addition, we also offer our expertise
to calculate and recommend the amount of desiccants
required for your dry packing.

Silica
Silica gel is silicon dioxide
(SiO2). It is a naturally occurring mineral that is
purified and processed into either granular or beaded
form. It has an average pore size of around 24 angstroms
and has strong affinity for moisture molecules.
Silica gel performs best at room temperatures (70°F
to 90°F) and high humidity (60 to 90% RH) and
will drop the relative humidity in a container down
to around 40% RH. Silica gel is commonly used in food
and pharmaceutical applications as only silica gel
has been approved by the FDA for direct contact with
these items.

Molecular
Our desiccant - molecular sieve*
- is a powerful moisture absorbent, with higher moisture
absorption capacity than clay or silica gel at low
relative humidity levels.
* Molecular sieve
is a powerful moisture absorbent which has more moisture
absorption capacity than clay or silica gel at low relative
humidity levels. This means that you can use less molecular
sieve to obtain the same performance.
A high reactivation temperature
ensures that the moisture absorbed is locked in and
not released back into the dry packed environment
easily. In addition, the reduce weight of desiccant
used may translate to a savings in shipping cost due
to space optimization and weight reduction. Dou Yee's
Sieve Pak uses molecular as the base desiccant.
Dou Yee can supply molecular
sieve, clay or silica gel in various packing materials
depending on your application and requirements. Our
desiccants can be used widely for protecting your
products against harmful effects of moisture and for
preventing corrosion. Areas of application includes
dry packing for ICs, medical instruments, machine
parts, electronic components, optical equipment, tools,
documents, cameras.
As a result of globalisation,
many MNCs are outsourcing suppliers that can provide
value added services which include the logistic capability
to deliver goods to their factories worldwide. Dou Yee
has a credible global network to meet this demand.

Bentonite
Bentonite clay is a naturally
occurring absorbent created by the controlled drying
of magnesium aluminum silicate of the sub-bentonite
type. This clay will successfully regenerate for repeated
use at very low temperatures without substantial deterioration
or swelling.
Bentonite clay is a good basic natural desiccant which
is economical and easily available. It works best
at relative humidity levels of 15% to 50% and temperature
below 120°F (approximately 50°C). It has a
reactivation temperature of about 120°C. Clay
is highly effective within normal temperature and
relative humidity ranges. Its appearance is that of
small gray pellets. Recommended packing materials
for clay are Tyvek® and non-woven fabric.
